- Anyone applying for a subclass 408 temporary activity visa does not have to be endorsed in writing. Only people who are onshore and have 28 days or less left on their current visa or have a visa that has expired within a period of 28 days at the time of applying can apply for a visa subclass 408. Applicants must meet the health and character visa 408 requirements, have satisfactory health insurance, be able to support themselves and any dependents, and genuinely intend to only temporarily live and work in Australia during the COVID-19 pandemic.
